WHO IS WENDELL WALLACE?
Born and raised in the Washington D.C/Silver Spring Maryland area, I have been in the sports broadcasting business over ten years. My first experience came by hosting a sports talk show called, “THE ARENA” at Towson University in Towson Maryland. I then became one of the original members of Baltimore’s first all sports radio station WNST 1570AM, co-hosting a Sunday morning basketball and wrestling program. Because of those programs, I was able to interview such athletes as Bobby Dandridge, Diamond Dallas Paige, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
After spending a few years in the Baltimore market, my next challenge was to host my own sports talk show. For that, I moved to Phoenix Arizona in 1999. My growth in the business continued to expand. While at KFNX 1100AM, I hosted THE ARENA and wrote, produced, and read commericals for a variety of programs, including my own. Within a year, I moved to KDUS AM 1060 then home of the Arizona Cardinals and Phoenix Coyotes. During the years I was on the air at KDUS, I had a successful morning and evening drive-time show.
At Loutus Broadcasting, I’ve had the privilege to be the fill in host and share the microphone with such professionals as Al Bernstein, and Papa Joe Chevalier. For the 2007-08 NBA season, I am producing and co-hosting the Utah Jazz basketball games with Las Vegas hall-of-fame broadcaster Marty Roddick.
I am currently single and live in Las Vegas
Nice!
