What a disgraceful performance by the Washington Wizards!! As a Washington Wizard basketball fan (and born and raised in the greatest place to live, grow up and raise your children, the Washington Metropolitan Area) I am completely ashamed, embarrassed, humiliated and disgusted with the effort and display of basketball (if that was what you called what Washington was trying to do Friday) the Wizards gave their fans. What a waste of time for anyone associated with that team to walk on that court, play as badly as they did in a close out the series game, and have the nerve to talk garbage throughout the series about a team that has spank your asses in the playoffs for now three straight years!! They conducted themselves like a group of jesters who ran their mouths, pumped out their chests, yelled out they were the big bad wolf and then got slap back into reality. That reality is that Cleveland is their daddy and Washington is the little child. Cleveland tolerated Washington’s foolishness, like any adult puts up with behavior, then put them in their place when they grew tired of their nonsense.
How pathetic was it to see Washington play a game as poorly as they did tonight? In a close out game with a packed house ready for the Wizards to even the series, Washington looked as if they left everything they had in Cleveland and by midway through the second quarter, looked spent. And when LeBron came back into the contest in the second quarter he imposed his will and turned a Washington four point lead into an eight point Cleveland lead and dim the lights on Washington’s season.
Caron Butler showed he wasn’t ready to become a star in the NBA. With the exception of game five (which was more of an aberration) Butler was passive and inconsistent throughout most of the series and allowed a non defender like Wally Szczerbiak to stay in the game because Butler couldn’t take advantage of him. Butler is the type of player that would be the third best player on the team that is vying for a NBA championship.
I’ve got a message for Brendon, “Brenda” Haywood…”SHUT YOUR MOUTH YOU STRAIGHT UP BITCH“!! I’ve got another message geared towards DeShawn “De Stupid” Stevenson…”GROW UP, SHUT UP AND FOR AS LONG AS YOU’RE A WASHINGTON WIZARD, I DON’T EVER WANT TO HEAR YOU SPEAK AGAIN“!!
These two clowns were the biggest culprits in embarrassing themselves and the organization with their play and behavior. “Brenda” Haywood, never to be known to show toughness going all the way back to college at North Carolina, started mouthing off in the press, questioning LeBron James heart and calling him soft. Now if the person doing the calling out was someone who actually was going to have a real impact on the game either rebounding, scoring, defense…whatever, I would have some respect for him. But when Brenda, being the seven foot bitch that he is, fouls out after scoring 6 points( going 1-6 from the field) grabbing 5 rebounds in 17 minutes you realize what a punk ass bitch he really is. You only wish Etan Thomas was still around to kick his ass for having the nerve to want to be heard. For the series, Haywood averaged 12 points per game and had a few bright moments during the series. The only problem is when you try to give the impression that you’re going to remind people how Wilt Chamberlain played with your boastful nonsense, you set yourself up for being made a fool.
Stevenson who made the comment that LeBron James (yes, THAT LEBRON JAMES) was overrated did little to make himself sound like a complete moron. Becoming a valuable member of the Wizards for his defense and three point shooting, it seemed Stevenson became drunk on his own hype juice. DeShawn started bringing attention to himself at warp speed and culminated with his overrated comment after a 101-99 victory over Cleveland in March. His move of waving his hand across his face emulating WWE wrestler John Cena’s move of “You can’t see me” when he makes a three point shot was not necessary for someone of his stature in the NBA.
DeShawn and the rest of his teammates thought they could be the Detroit Pistons of the 1990’s and treat LeBron like Detroit did Jordan. The only problem was that Washington didn’t have a Joe Dumars, Isiah Thomas, or Rick Mahorn on their team. And despite their best efforts they could do nothing to stop him as James damn near averaged a triple double for the series.
It will be another long off season for the Washington Wizards with difficult questions do be answered. Will they resign Antawn Jamison (I hope not!!)? Will they resign Gilbert Arenas when he opt outs of his contract (they better!!!)? Is Eddie Jordan the right man for the job (I think so, but if Avery Johnson is interested in coming to Chocolate city…well). There some soul searching that needs to be done about where they want to go as a team. Hopefully, I won’t have to hear the bitch and the fool talk smack about it.
