The Los Angeles Lakers are the Western Conference champions. Who could have image this nearly a year ago? Kobe wanted to be traded, the Lakers were open about trading him, the Lakers couldn’t get a deal done to get Kevin Garnett, Jason Kidd or Jermaine O’Neal, GM Mitch Kupchak was seen as incompetent, and a [...]

The San Antonio Spurs season is over. There chances of the Spurs winning back to back championships are smaller than Hillary Clinton chances of winning the democratic presidential nomination.
I do realize San Antonio has at least one more game left to play against the Los Angeles Lakers. But for all intended purposes the season [...]

Champs, chumps or chokers? How are we going to define the era of the Detroit Pistons if they lose their series to the Boston Celtics? It is an interesting debate for a basketball team that has been as successful as Detroit over the last six years.
The discussion may be mute if Detroit can translate the [...]

In every team sport, we have obnoxious fans that make their existence on this planet a living hell for the rest of us. For all you conspirator theorists who thought the New York Knicks already had the Derrick Rose Knicks #23 Jerseys on sale at the NBA store as soon as the NBA lottery started, think again…Sort of!!
The Chicago Bulls, with the odds at 1.7 percent to win the lottery, did just that. Even GM John Paxton was [...]

The BCS is celebrating its 10th anniversary. I say congratulations…10 years are a long time to put up with a system that a majority of sport fans despise. The BCS have been the subject of great debate among college football fans the last ten years. Either you’re for it, or against it, no gray area [...]

What has seemed to be nothing more than hubris, nothing more than an exercise of desperation and futility, has now become a serious issue we cannot ignore.
Presidential candidate Hilary Clinton, responding to a question from the Sioux Falls Argus Leader editorial board about calls for her to drop out of the race for President, [...]

In the series which pits dynasty #1-vs-dynasty #2 there are interesting match-ups all over the floor. At the point guard position, will Tony Longoria-Parker be able to assault the basket against the cagey veteran Derek Fisher? Can Tim Duncan continue to rebound while trying to rebound from an average offense series against New Orleans? Who on [...]
